I wanted to reply to the anon post, but I ran out of space, so I thought I would send it here.
If it’s not your place to ask that the photo be removed, then it is technically not your place to submit rude comments under the anon option, right? Have you actually looked through the blog to see what it is really about? It is an empowerment blog, and it has helped a lot of people be more comfortable with their bodies. This blog has definitely helped me. I saw the original Sailor Jupiter post: http://fuckyeahfatpositive.tumblr.com/post/10525680538/ive-been-wanting-to-post-this-picture-for-a-while and it inspired me to pursue my own Sailor Jupiter cosplay, which I then submitted a picture of myself to the blog. I got so many nice comments from people not only at the con but from the blog, that it really helped me accept my body as it is instead of hating it like I have for the past 5 years. I am sorry your friend is upset, but nobody from the blog made fun of her (in fact I am sure she was praised and told she looked beautiful!), but it is also up to your friend to do something about it. I know you want to be a good friend, but sometimes being a good friend is not being rude to people who have accidentally offended your friend, rather, it is supporting your friend and letting them know they have the power to get it removed. The blog mod even agreed to remove it quietly and quickly once she was asked to by the person in question. So please, don’t speak bad about this wonderful blog. It has helped so many people in so many ways.
